Starsky’s Painting & Decorating.

I was born and raised in Portree and at the age of 17 I undertook my painting & decorating apprenticeship and started my own painting & decorating business in 1993. My business has grown over these years and has developed into one of the area’s leading painting contractors.

We have been the home decorators of choice on properties ranging from new builds, renovations, redecorations, large scale social housing developments such as Home Farm, the new Dental Surgery and Police Hostel, all in Portree.

We recently worked on a new housing scheme for contractors O’briens in Broadford and are currently working with Compass contractors on the new community hub in Sleat.

In addition to undertaking work for public institutions such as the Highland Council and Housing Associations all within the Skye & Lochalsh area, we offer a full range of painting and decorating services to both private and commercial clients.

All my employees are time served tradesmen who work to the highest of standards.

As well as offering painting & decorating services, I am also the owner and founder of the Isle of Skye Paint Company, a retail outlet in the centre of Portree where customers can buy purchase ‘32 shades of Skye’. Our beautiful paint range is developed here on the Isle of Skye and our colours have been developed using the natural beauty of our landscape as inspiration for our colour range. All our paint is infused with organic seaweed giving the paint a thicker consistency which allows for an easier and more even coverage.

In addition to our own paint range we also stock Johnstones, Osmo, Farrow & Ball and all sundries for all your painting and decorating needs.
